Hi,

The Logan World Guardcompeted in Dayton, OH for the national WGIchampionship last weekend. They won their 8th in arow, against strongcompetition.

In Friday'spreliminary round, they did a good job but nottheir best. Still, they won based on theirwonderful skills and creative program. On Saturday,at the Finals round, they wereFEEEE-NOMM-INALLL!

Avon HS from Indianadid a show based on Madonna's greatest songs andthey were highly entertaining. Then Beyer HS fromModesto did a wonderful presentation. I've seenthem many times during they year and figured theywould be Logan'scompetition.

WhenLogan appeared, I knew they had to be "on". Theywere. At the conclusion of their program, they gotthe only spontaneous standing ovation in theircompetition round. The very large crowd of about11,000 people cheered wildly when Loganfinished.

I ran out back to seethem outside the arena. The kids were overjoyed andhighly emotional. All of their hard work came toits ultimate point on Saturday. Their score of98.75 was an easywinner.

Beginning in 1998, theLogan World Guard has been undefeated. Their 8 in arow is unprecedented in the 28 year history of WGI.Believe me, I've seen all 28 years and find thatLogan's work is unmatched, even if I subtract myslight bias at this time of theyear.

Congratulations tothem and their staff. Special thanks to House FourSecretary, Lori Valdes, for her truly unbelievablededication to helping thosekids.
