The James Logan Band and Color Guard is honored to have been selected as part of the American Delegation to perform at the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The trip took place July 29 - August 12, 2008. The Band and Guard students joined other performers and delegations from other States and from other Countries as part of an Orchestra group that consisted of 2008 total members. The Beijing 2008 Olympic Orchestra performed in Tiananmen Square as part of the China/International Olympic Committee Cultural Celebration at the Olympics. They also performed as part of the Opening Ceremony event and on the Great Wall. The students had the opportunity to visit various sight seeing spots such as The Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, etc. Pictures and Video (8/17/08) Halftime Magazine features an article on the Olympic Orchestra
