The James Logan Band and Color Guard will be traveling to Fresno State this weekend, on Saturday, October 24th, to compete in the Sierra Cup Classic field show competition. Information on the show can be obtained below. As always, please come out and support the band as they progress through the season. Fresno State is an outstanding venue to view the show!! It's time for band to travel to their first competition this week. The band will be competing in the Valley Christian Quest Classic held at Chabot College in Hayward this coming Saturday. Information is posted below. Please bring your family and come on out to support the premiere performance of the James Logan Band and Color Guard for the 2015 Season!
By now everyone has their marching uniforms and accessories. The Uniform Committee has been busy making sure that each student's uniform and shoes are clean and fitting properly. These uniforms have a lot of history and legacy associated with them. We need you to carry on the tradition and take good care of your assigned uniforms and accessories; make sure that they are clean and neat for every show and keep them safe when not in use. See below for the Uniform Guidelines and Care Instructions document. It has information on how to wash and maintain your uniform as well as general information on how to dress properly for a competition show.
Last year, with participation from less than 50% of members, we were able to raise more than $20,000. Please read the instructions below and help your students as much as possible. Directors will hand out sponsor letters in class tomorrow. Ask your students if they received theirs. If not, they should see Mr. Wilke or a Color Guard Mom.
Remember that your participation in the ONLINE portion of our fundraiser is an important part of our James Logan High School "Championship Challenge" fundraising project.
We are asking each student to register online (which creates a private page for you) and enter 10 emails there. Even if you already completed sponsor letters, you can enter emails for the same 10 people, 10 different people or a combination of both. The email process simply gives people another option in how they can respond and support the team.
This dinner night out is set for Wednesday, October 21st - it is an all day event. Tomatina will generously donate 15% of food and beverage sales from lunch, dinner and takeout on the above date to the James Logan Band and Color Guard from any customer that presents this flyer.
