The Logan Marching Band and Color Guard show for 2008 was titled " The Last Shangri-La". Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, "Shangri-La" is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia—a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. See what happens when the princess falls in love with an outsider in Logan's show. James Logan High School Band and Color Guard won the 2008 WBA 4A/5A Grand Championship! Congratulations to all of the kids, the directors, all of the Band Boosters who helped run the WBA Championships and volunteered their time throughout the marching season.
