You can also donate by sending a check written to "James Logan Band Boosters" to the attention of the Booster General Treasurer at:

Logan Band Boosters
P.O. Box 924

Please specify where the donation should be directed to (i.e. student name, specific event, etc.) and if you would like to have a donation letter sent to you for tax purposes (only applicable if no goods or services were received).

Where does my donation go?

Each member is asked to help with the costs of the program by contributing fair share donations. Without these donations, the music program is not able to compete in tournaments, pay instructional staff, or purchase new equipment.

This year, the James Logan Band and Color Guard will participate in several local, regional, and national competitions. Donations and support from Logan families, sponsors and the community pay for travel, equipment, props, instruments, and other necessary items to maintain the music program at James Logan High School.

The school district only pays for the directors' salaries for class work.  All other expenses are covered by contributions made by booster parents and money raised from fundraising.  The expenses covered by donations and fundraisers includes:
  • directors, techs, and choreographers used outside of class time
  • music, drill design, show design, and choreography
  • buses and bus drivers to transport students to competitions and performances
  • truck rentals and drivers to transport equipment
  • food, including meals, snacks, drinks and water for the students for all away shows
  • flag and prop material, design, and construction
  • uniform maintenance, replacement, and upkeep
  • general equipment, such as mule and generators
  • instrument purchase and maintenance
  • entry fees for organizations and competitions
  • travel expenses such as airfare, hotel, and car rentals for competitions requiring overnight stays

Monetary donations are always welcome, but if you or your company have something else that you think we could use (packaged foods, water, first aid supplies, or anything else), please contact us.  We'd love to hear from you.

Your generous donation is tax deductible, so please consider supporting the James Logan Band and Color Guard.
If your company offers matching funds for charitable donations, please contact the company administrator to take advantage of this option when making a donation to the James Logan Band Boosters. Many corporations match dollar for dollar, which doubles the amount of your contribution.
