​​Booster Meeting Next Tuesday

If you are following our calendar, you will notice that next Tuesday, 9/8/2015 at 7:00 PM is our first regularly scheduled booster meeting for this year.  It will be held in band room #1 (701 on the map) at the Center for the Performing Arts.  You will meet lots of your fellow boosters and learn details about upcoming student performances and booster events.  Booster meetings are held every second Tuesday of each month so put a recurring reminder on your calendar.  All band and color guard parents are encouraged to attend.  

Dining Out Fundraiser at Chevys

Our first dining out fundraiser will be on 9/16 at Chevys in Union Landing.  Chevys will donate 20% of your dining bill to the boosters.  Have a nice dinner out and help the Band and Color Guard at the same time.

Water Donations

When the students are on the road performing, they work hard and consume large quantities of water.  To make sure that we have plenty of water available on these trips, we are asking that each family donate two cases of water.  These will be collected and stored by the boosters for use in all upcoming events.  The cases of water may be dropped in the band director’s office or at any of our rehearsals at Logan.

Letterman Jackets Update

This year, the Letterman Jackets will not be ordered through the boosters or through our website.  If you would like to purchase a letterman jacket, the Logan Band and Color Guard has made arrangements with two suppliers that you can contact directly to purchase the jackets on an individual basis.  These suppliers have the specific requirements of our band jackets and will adhere to these in order for all band members to have the same style of jacket.  Prices range from $143 to $244 depending on the supplier and the size of the jacket.  The price includes the jacket and the initial embroidery on the left top part of the jacket.  It is recommended that you try on other band members jackets ahead of time to help you determine sizing.

Are You Missing Your Letters? 

Some of last year's freshman students did not receive their letters, but received an IOU instead.  We are still working on getting these letters from our suppliers.  Mr. Wilke will notify you of when they are ready to be distributed. 

End of Band Camp BBQ
